The decision to not upgrade Minio (which is rather dated) is because starting at 4.0.0 several calls were made obsolete including the constructor. A specific feature branch will be opened to integrate the new version and run CI tests.
With this change, ftp-passive, ftp-regular and use-ssl parameters found on existing FTP Backend configurations will be respected and exhibit the same behavior. They are marked as deprecated so they will issue warning messages when used prompting users to refer to new parameters.
For this change, what was known as the alternate FTP client which uses FluentFTP library now officially replaces the FTP Backend which still used the deprecated FtpWebrequest.
To mantain compatibility with existing configurations, both ftp and aftp targets and configuration prefixes are accepted.
This is a proposal for replacing the deprecated WebClient with the HttpClient.
This commit implements the core functionality following the HttpClientFactory pattern as suggested by the framework. It also supports an alternative approach in areas where the HttpClient pattern is not desirable.
The first backend component to be migrated is WebDav, and the HttpClient pattern is also applied to the update downloader.
Once merged, other backend components can be migrated, eventually removing the deprecated WebClient from the codebase.
Additionally, the debug-profind-file option from webdav, which was a remnant from early development, is removed as it is no longer useful for debugging different webdav server responses.
