Install PhotoCraft, then open an image with **File › Open…**. The panels you use most are **Layers**, **Properties** and **History**.
1. [Install PhotoCraft](install.md).
2. Start PhotoCraft and choose **File › Open…**. To start from nothing, choose **File › New…** and click **Create**.
3. Pick the **Horizontal Type Tool**, a selection tool or an adjustment, and work on the image. Every step is listed in the **History** panel and can be undone.
4. Keep your layers with **File › Save As…** (PSD or PhotoCraft), or make a flat copy with **File › Export › Export As…**.
