* OpenEXR/HDR export: linearize grayscale documents too
Fixes#2386. The EXR/HDR branch of export_flat converted RGB images to
linear sRGB but left gray ones as stored, so an sGray #808080 was written
as 0.502 instead of 0.216. Gray images are now converted from their
profile (sGray when untagged) to linear gray. An untagged grayscale
OpenEXR opens tagged linear gray (an EXR Y channel is linear luminance),
and the open policy keeps that profile without a mismatch prompt, as it
already does for linear sRGB.

Save As to a flat format always made the written file the document's
file: a layered or PSD-backed document saved as JPEG was renamed to the
JPEG and marked saved, so Ctrl+S then opened Save As with JPEG chosen,
and closing no longer asked about the unsaved layers. app.save on the
desktop did the same for any format, unlike the headless server (#1547).
Save As now writes a copy when the flat file can't hold the document
(anything beyond one plain raster layer, or the document already lives in a layered
PSD/PSB/.pcraft/OpenRaster/TIFF file), as Photoshop does. A flat
document not in a layered file still becomes the flat file. app.save
only retargets for layered formats, through a helper shared with the
headless server (file_cmds::layered_extension).

* fix(document): keep layer comps valid across document duplication
Remap saved comp and Last Document State references when cloned layers receive new IDs, including historical states and nested groups. Drop obsolete comp metadata in merged-only copies instead of carrying references to removed layers.
Add focused engine regressions for #2382 and related copy workflows.
* style(test): apply rustfmt layout to layer-comp regression tests
Fill Path painted the whole work path even when a selection excluded
part of it. The path's coverage (after anti-aliasing and feather) is now
multiplied by the selection mask, so rectangular, elliptical and
feathered selections all limit the fill. With no selection the whole
path fills, as before.

Stroke Path only honoured the transparency lock, so Brush, Pencil and
Eraser painted on a layer whose pixels (or everything) were locked,
directly or through a parent group. It now rejects those destinations
with the same error as Fill Path and ordinary painting, leaving the
layer unchanged.

Session::jobs_with_recent is documented as "running jobs followed by the
last few that ended", but chained the ended jobs first, so jobs.list and
MCP jobs_list returned a finished job ahead of a running one. Running
jobs now come first, as documented.

Select › Modify › Feather (and the marquee, lasso and path feather
options) blurred with sigma = radius / 2, so a feather came out half as
wide as Photoshop's. Measured on Photoshop 27.11 (scripted): a 32×32
rectangle feathered 4 px matches sigma = radius within 2 levels along
the edge; sigma = radius / 2 was up to 71 levels off. The mask feather
(Properties › Feather) already uses sigma = feather, fitted on the
psd-tools corpus, so both feathers now agree.
The two margins sized for the old reach grow with it: Modify's
canvas-bounds padding (3 sigma = 3 r) and Fill Path's render area.

The Spot Healing Brush's drag preview stamped a hard round footprint at the
base brush size, so a soft brush and pressure/shape dynamics did not show,
while the heal itself uses the brush engine's dab coverage. The trail now
renders the same coverage (`stroke_coverage`'s StrokeRenderer, brush built by
the new shared `retouch_cmds::stroke_brush`), including the press's lone
first dab via `tail_preview`.

layer.pickAt hit-tested every layer by the alpha of the pixel under the
pointer, so a click in the gap between a type layer's letters picked the
layer under it. Like Photoshop, Auto-Select (and Cmd-click) now hits a
type layer anywhere inside the bounds of its rendered text. The
right-click layer list still lists only layers with pixels there.

- The live set found beside Photoshop is offered, never applied unasked: an
"Import keyboard shortcuts?" prompt names the set and how many keys it
changes, with Import / Don't Import. Either answer is recorded in
dialogs.photoshopShortcuts, so it is asked once; ui.inspect shows the
pending offer as kysOffer.
- Parsing and label matching moved to the engine (photocraft_engine::kys), so
edit.keyboardShortcuts {"importKys": <xml>} imports a set from agents, the
CLI and MCP; the app's dialog uses the same plan with its menus' labels.
- "The keyboard shortcut set was not imported: {error}" is translated.
- .kys input over 4 MiB is refused before it is read as text.

* Content-Aware tools: Photoshop's behaviour, measured
Photoshop 25.4 was measured as a black box (synthetic and public-domain
images, results read back exactly) and the content-aware family follows it:
- Fill (inpaint): coarse to fine with the coarser level's matches scaled up
and voted with the finer level's own pixels, the coarsest level filled
from the hole's edge inwards, a shallower pyramid. The fill is pieces of
the image copied pixel for pixel with narrow seams, as Photoshop's;
before, it was visibly blurred. Pixels have roles (hole, context,
source, void), so excluded areas stay context instead of being filled.
- Colour adaptation: Image Melding's per-patch gain and bias, limited per
level, instead of a low-frequency membrane pull.
- Sampling window: Photoshop's square of side 4·√(max(w,50)·max(h,50))
centred on the selection, slid inside the canvas; Edit › Fill,
Rectangular, Auto, Delete and Fill and Spot Healing use it.
- Auto sampling area: what looks like the selection's surroundings (local
colour and contrast, one min cut), fitted to Photoshop's overlay.
- Patch Tool: a Content-Aware mode (Structure, Color, Sample All Layers).
- Content-Aware Move: Structure 3..7 alike, a band about a patch wide;
Color as a gain/bias limited to about 0.04 per step.

On a smart-object layer, Image > Adjustments now records an editable
smart filter instead of committing disaster.
- new engine helpers:
- adjust_cmds::has_adjustable / adjust_as_smart_filter route
image.adjustments.<kind> onto the source, with the selection as the
filter mask, through smart_cmds::add_smart_filter
- brush/eraser/pencil/live preview strokes now render inside
with_cmyk_space(doc_cmyk_space(session)), so painted colours follow the
document profile the same way the compositor does
- docs/scorecard.md: FILE-215-4 partial -> done
- tests: adjust_cmds/tests + brush_cmds/tests, plus panic_hunt and
the lib suite all green on the committed tree
Known follow-up, already filed:
- FILE-215-5 rows: double-clicking an adjustment smart-filter row is still
a no-op. smart_ui::open_editor only proceeds when
filter_dialog::has_dialog returns true, and has_dialog accepts
filter.*, a fixed non-adjustment set and PREVIEWED - but not
image.adjustments.* (those open through adjust_dialog::open, which isn't
wired into the smart-filter row).
This is one commit on top of the latest upstream/main (rebased to fix the
stale fork ancestry that was blocking PR creation).

* Add the Remove tool with non-local patch completion
Tool::Remove (J flyout) paints a hole that paint.remove fills from its
surroundings as a background job, in one undo step. A stroke around an
object also removes what it encloses; the selection limits the hole.
The fill (photocraft_algo::nonlocal) follows Newson, Almansa, Gousseau and
Pérez (IPOL 2017): texture features in the patch distance, onion-peel
initialisation, match fields upsampled between levels and a best-patch
final copy, plus gradient-domain hiding of edge and interior seams.
Sparse holes are filled in tiles. inpaint::complete (Content-Aware Fill,
Spot Healing, Content-Aware Move) is unchanged.
On 20 holes in public-domain photos (remove_quality) the fill keeps 0.89
of the texture it replaces, against 0.54 with the Wexler/PatchMatch
completion. 24 MP (remove_bench): 100 px ring 120 ms, 1000 px ring 2.5 s.
* Translate the Remove tool's label and tighten comments
Adds "Remove Tool" to every UI catalog, following each one's pattern for
tool names and its existing word for Remove. Corrects comments that no
longer matched the code: the benchmark's description, the tile and margin
minimums, and the reasons given for two parameters.
* Put the Remove tool first in the J group
The J flyout's slot now shows Remove until another J tool is picked, and
J from another group selects it; repeated J goes on to Spot Healing Brush,
Healing Brush, Patch, Content-Aware Move and Red Eye.

* Layer › Rasterize acts on every selected layer; the Layers menu offers Rasterize Layers (#2243)
Rasterize › Layer / Type / Shape / Fill Content / Smart Object took only the active
layer, so right-clicking inside a multi-layer selection converted one layer. Without a
`layer` param they now rasterize every selected layer they apply to, in one history step.
An explicit `layer` (the "Rasterize?" paint prompt, scripts) still targets exactly one.
Layers panel: a multi-layer selection gets one "Rasterize Layers" item (greyed only when
nothing selected can be rasterized, judged by the whole selection, not the clicked layer).
Edit Contents and Convert to Layers act on one layer, so they are not offered there.
Adobe's documentation: select "the layer or layers you'd like to rasterize".
Tests: engine integration (mixed type/shape/fill/smart selection, one undo step, per-kind
commands, explicit layer, nothing to rasterize, bad targets) and ui-egui (menu entries,
enablement, right-click → Rasterize Layers end to end). The new behaviour tests fail on
the old code.
* Layers menu and layer commands follow the selection, not the active layer (#2244)
Availability of Rasterize, Create/Release Clipping Mask, Add Layer Mask and Paste/Clear Layer
Style was decided by the active layer, so one selection was greyed or not depending on which of
its layers happened to be active (with the Background active, Create Clipping Mask and Add Layer
Mask were greyed although they would have run on the other layers), and Rasterize Layer was
enabled for layers it then refused ("nothing to rasterize"). Several of these commands also only
ever acted on the active layer, whichever layer the menu was opened on.
- Add Layer Mask (Reveal/Hide All, Reveal/Hide Selection), Paste Layer Style and Clear Layer Style
run on every selected layer that can take them (not the Background, layers that already have a
mask, layers without a style), in one history step. An explicit `layer`, or a single selected
layer, behaves as before.
- `enable_rules::selection_targets`: availability of those commands, Create/Release Clipping Mask
and Rasterize is judged by the selection.
- Rasterize Layer is enabled only for type, shape, fill and Smart Object layers, which is what the
command converts.
- Items with no single target stay greyed for several layers: Blending Options, Copy Layer Style,
Quick Export, Export As and the per-layer mask items. A multi-layer menu has one stable mask item.
Tests: engine integration (mask, paste and clear on a selection, errors, unchanged single-layer
paths) and a property test over 20 selections x clipboard state x 7 commands: an enabled item runs,
and for several layers a greyed one would have changed nothing. It fails on the old rules for
["R1", "BG"] with the Background active, the case from the bug report.

* Pen pressure curve: Preferences › Tools shapes how pen pressure reaches every brush
Brush phase 6a (TOOL-213-11, #610). Every pen paints its pressure straight through, so artists
with a heavy or a light hand, or a tablet whose response feels off, had no way to adjust it.
- `tools.pressureCurve`: [input, output] points, linear by default, settable with `prefs.set`
(validated: 2..=16 pairs within 0..1).
- `prefs::PressureCurve` reads it as a monotone cubic (Fritsch–Carlson), so a firmer press never
gives less pressure. It sanitises the points itself (finite, clamped, sorted, one per input,
capped, outputs made non-decreasing; flat beyond the ends), because a whole-section update or a
hand-edited file can store anything.
- The stylus maps every pen sample's pressure through it before any brush sees it, so the live
stroke, the commit and the journal agree. A mouse stays at full pressure.
- Preferences › Tools draws a curve editor under Use Tablet Pressure: drag a point, click to add
one, right-click to remove one, with Linear, Soft and Hard presets. Translated in all 16 catalogs.

* Move tool on a locked layer: Photoshop's message
Dragging with the Move tool (or Cmd with another tool) on a layer it can't
move showed nothing: the Background or a position-locked layer with no
selection, or a locked layer whose selected pixels can't float. Photoshop
puts up "Could not use the move tool because the layer is locked." when
the drag starts (a plain click says nothing); move_lock.rs does the same
with the Error dialog, translated in every catalogue. The float lock rule
moves to float_cmds::locked_for_float so the UI can ask before the press
goes anywhere.
Also in Dutch and Ukrainian. The Cmd-with-a-painting-tool case lands with
the Cmd-as-Move change, whichever merges second.

* Masks: target a new layer mask and keep separate colour pairs for mask and pixels (#2166)
Photoshop keeps one foreground/background pair for layer masks and one for
layer pixels and swaps them when the edit target changes; adding a mask
targets it, with white/black. PhotoCraft never touched the colours when a
mask was targeted, and adding a mask left the pixels targeted.
- engine: ToolState::target_mask swaps in the other target's pair
(mask pair starts at white/black, colours picked on either side are kept).
- ui-egui: sync_mask_targets applies the effective target (mask targeted,
active layer has a mask, composite channel, no Quick Mask) after every
command, every frame and every control request; the Layer Mask add
commands target the new mask.

* Keep the selection when smart selection finds nothing
Select Subject and Object Selection run heuristics that often miss on busy
photos. In Replace mode an empty result cleared the selection, so the Select
Subject button looked dead and even destroyed existing work. apply() now
preserves the selection and reports changed:false in every mode.
The UI also answers visibly instead of staying silent: empty smart-selection
results set an info status suggesting what to try next, and a click with
Object Selection falls back to a Quick Selection dab at the brush size
instead of doing nothing.
* Translate the smart-selection status messages; drop needless borrows (clippy)

parse_brush, shared by Smudge, Blur, Sharpen, Dodge, Burn, Sponge, the
clone/healing tools and the History Brush, defaulted `spacing` to a fixed
25% instead of the session brush's spacing (Brush Settings > Brush Tip
Shape > Spacing). The UI never sends `spacing` for these tools, so the
Brush Settings value was ignored. Default to the session brush spacing,
as Photoshop does; an explicit `spacing` param still wins.

* Notices: auto-hide after a delay, with Interface preferences (#2022)
Non-blocking notices no longer stay on screen until closed: each card
hides itself after Interface › Notification › Auto Hide Notifications'
delay (new, default 6 s), and the timer pauses while the pointer rests
on the stack until it moves away. Two new Interface preferences,
notificationAutoHide and notificationDurationSeconds, are read by
notices.rs; errors still land in the status bar.
The decision lives in the pure notices::expire helper, unit-tested
without an egui clock; Notice.shown_at round-trips through the control
channel with serde defaults. Labels translated across the complete
catalogues. Regenerated docs/scorecard.md.
* Notices: repaint on expiry, and a fresh delay when a long hover ends (#2022)
Addresses review of the auto-hide change:
- When the last notice expires, `show` had already painted it and, with
nothing left, requested no further frame, so the card lingered until
unrelated input. It now requests a repaint in the frame that drops
anything, clearing the stack at once.
- A stationary hover over a settled UI refreshed `shown_at` only on
frames, so hovering longer than the delay then leaving expired the
notice instantly. `show` now tracks the pointer leaving the stack and
restarts the timers on that frame, so hovering never counts as elapsed
time.
Regression tests: expiring a notice requests a frame to clear it;
leaving a long hover gives a fresh delay.

Two opt-in themes that put the Studio layout in GNOME's libadwaita palette, so PhotoCraft

* Tip Shape picks the tip only; set_brush records the preset once accepted
- A click in the Brush Tip Shape grid copies the tip fields only (main's
Photoshop behaviour: the dynamics sections stay); the picked preset is
marked current with brush.presets.setCurrent instead of a whole-preset
tools.setBrush, so identity-based selection still tracks it.
- tools.setBrush sets current_preset only after the brush merged and
validated, so a failed call leaves no state behind; a reset still wins
over a preset in the same call. Tested.
- brush.presets.save / brush.defineFromSelection append at the end again
(insert-after-the-copied-brush had no Photoshop reference).
* Brush presets: forget the picked preset when the tool's brush swaps; no indexing in brush.presets.update

* Brushes: keep the folder hierarchy of imported .abr files (#1851)
Photoshop CC brush files keep their Brushes panel folders in a `phry`
(preset hierarchy) section; the importer skipped it, so every preset of an
.abr landed in one flat group named after the file.
- photocraft-psd: `abr::parse` reads `phry` (a token stream of `Grup`
{Nm, zuid}, `preset` and `groupEnd` objects) into `AbrFile::folders`, one
folder path per preset. A damaged hierarchy never fails the parse: a stray
groupEnd, more or fewer preset tokens than presets, folders nested deeper
than MAX_FOLDER_DEPTH (32) or an unreadable section become warnings and the
affected presets land at the top level. `write_v6_folders` writes `phry`
back (`write_v6` is unchanged).
- photocraft-paint: `BrushPreset::folder`, the nested folder path inside its
group (serde default, so older JSON loads unchanged).
- photocraft-io: the file's folders nest inside the group named after the
file, as Photoshop's Import Brushes does.
- Preset store: each stored preset records its `folder`; group files written
before this change load with every preset directly in its group (no
rewrite). Paths from disk and from imported .pcpresets files are bounded.
- Commands: brush.presets.move, moveGroup, renameGroup and deleteGroup take
an optional `folder` path to move a preset into a folder, or to move a
folder among its siblings, rename or delete it. importAbr reports the
number of folders kept.
- Brushes panel and Brush Preset picker: nested folders are drawn indented
under their group (list and grid), open and close like groups, take
dropped presets, reorder among their siblings by drag and drop, and have
Rename/Delete in their context menu.
Checked against the 4-folder ABR Photoshop 25.1 exports of its default
brushes (8/6/6/8 presets): all 28 land in their folders, and a write/parse
round trip keeps them.

* Brushes: bound phry folder allocation; reword the move folder param
Review on #2001:
- read_phry now runs after every section is read, so it builds folder
paths only for the presets in desc (a phry may precede desc), and the
paths it holds are capped at 16 MB; presets past the cap import at the
top level with a warning.
- brush.presets.move documents `folder` as folder names, so the
automation filesystem-path classifier no longer flags it.
