3 people 0050f29a85 Native format: reject a leading '+' in hex pairs (#1832) ...

u8::from_str_radix accepts a leading '+', so "+5" decoded as 0x05; unhex now requires
two ASCII hex digits per pair and fails as corrupt otherwise. Fixes #1818.
