3 people 60bce1894b File Handling: wire Lowercase Extension through Save As (#1941) ...

Preferences > File Handling > Lowercase Extension is live: with it on (the default) a save path's extension is lowercased (CAT.PSD saves as CAT.psd); off keeps the user's spelling. Settings that do nothing: 51 of 141 (#204).
