feat(web): regroup admin navigation and settings into intuitive sections
Reorganize the admin sidebar into Overview / Content / Automation / Users / System so media pipeline tools no longer hide under Users and Settings is not buried in a seven-item Server grab-bag. Group the flat 13-tab admin settings page into Server / Media / Connections / Data sections, and split the Integrations tab into dedicated Subtitles (search providers + AI translation) and Watch Providers (Trakt/Simkl OAuth) pages, leaving Integrations for one-off keys like MDBList. All routes and ?tab= ids are unchanged so deep links keep working. Extract the shared grouped-rail markup used by the admin sidebar, admin settings nav, and user settings nav into a SideNav component, and remove the orphaned admin-settings PluginsSettings page (superseded by /admin/plugins). fix(metadata): exclude providers from content levels they don't declare (#106)
ResolveChain falls back to every enabled metadata provider when a library
+ content-level has no enabled chain entry. That fallback was media-type
blind: a provider declaring default_priority only for an unrelated level
(e.g. an audiobook provider declaring {"audiobook": N}) was kept in the
list (merely sorted last) and invoked for video content levels.
In production this made silo.audiobook-metadata hammer external audiobook
APIs with anime/movie/series titles every scheduled enrichment pass
(MatchWorker, 30s) for the season/episode levels that had no enabled chain
entry. Disabling the chain entries did not help because the fallback never
consults them; only disabling the installation removed it from the global
set.
Treat a non-empty default_priority map as the provider enumerating the
content levels it supports: in resolveEnabledProvidersByPriority, exclude
providers whose declared map omits the requested level instead of ranking
them last. Providers that declare no default_priority make no claim and
stay eligible everywhere (legacy behavior).

source drops it). PlaybackSessionAuth read 'PlaySessionId'/'PlaySessionID'
case-sensitively, so the fallback never matched -> 401 on every direct-play
stream -> forced (often failing) transcode fallback. Resolve PlaySessionId via
newCaseInsensitiveQuery, and likewise accept case-variant api_key in
ExtractToken.

TV/series full scans (libraries with new or updated items) were recorded as
"cancelled" with an empty error message and never completed matching.
When the file-walk finishes, the ingest executor waits out a settle window and
then calls stopDrainers() to shut down the concurrent match goroutines. That
cancels the drainer context while a ProcessBatchByFolderAndPathPrefix call may
still be in flight. The drainer treated the resulting context.Canceled as a
fatal error: it pushed the error to drainerErrCh and called cancel() on the
whole scan context, so scanqueue.process() mapped it to cancelRun().
Large/slow libraries (many series, slow provider lookups) keep a batch in
flight continuously, so stopDrainers() almost always landed mid-call and the
scan was cancelled; small/fast libraries were usually idle at that instant and
completed normally.
Treat a cancelled drainer context as a deliberate shutdown: return cleanly
without escalating. Genuine external cancellation still reaches the run via the
main goroutine's scanCtx checks, so real cancels are not swallowed.
Adds a regression test (settle window made injectable) that fails against the
old handler with 'concurrent match scope ...: context canceled' and passes
with the fix.

Next Up (w1280) backdrops through it; still/poster/logo paths clamp to their
type's largest cached variant while real backdrops keep the requested width.

shared row and cascade away the newly-added membership — dropping the item
from the other library. Re-check the orphan invariant inside the delete
(NOT EXISTS a membership in another folder) and count rows actually deleted.

fix(web): drop backdrop-blur from Pill card overlay preset (#89)
The Pill overlay preset was the only one of the five to carry `backdrop-blur-sm` (backdrop-filter: blur(4px)) on its badge class. Each enabled badge renders its own element, so a typical library grid produces hundreds of backdrop-filter layers the browser must re-sample and blur on every repaint — including every scroll frame, since the poster art behind each badge moves while scrolling. This caused severe scroll/interaction jank, most visibly on Chrome on Windows. The blur is also effectively invisible: the Pill background is already rgba(20,20,30,0.7) (70% opaque), so removing it has no meaningful visual impact while eliminating the per-frame GPU cost. The other four presets are unaffected. |

A series never has a user_watch_progress row of its own, so series items always rendered Played:false with no UnplayedItemCount — every show looked unwatched in compat clients' library views, and the IsPlayed browse filter treated all series as unplayed. Roll episode progress up to series rows in the browse/search/detail paths, mirroring applySeasonUserData and the native API's rollup semantics (WatchedCount/UnplayedCount/InProgressCount). Progress lookups are chunked at 500 ids (per-user stores may be SQLite-backed) and the rollup is capped at 250 series per page so max-limit browses of series-only libraries stay bounded. |

fix(metadata): record post-refresh stale IDs against the canonical item (#38)
processInternal cleared and re-recorded stale provider IDs against req.ContentID after mergeAndPersist. But mergeAndPersist can canonicalize the item into an existing one (provider-ID dedup), deleting req.ContentID and returning a different result.ContentID. In that case the post-merge DeleteByContentID/Upsert targeted the now-deleted source: the upsert hit the stale_media_ids content_id foreign key and the still-404ing providers were never recorded on the surviving canonical item — so the same providers get re-attempted (and re-404) on every subsequent refresh. Target the canonical ID (result.ContentID, falling back to req.ContentID) for the stale-ID follow-up via refreshFollowUpContentID, matching what the adjacent refresh-debt sync already uses. The block stays guarded on provider404s != nil (allocated only when req.ContentID was set) so a content-id-less refresh that canonicalizes into an existing item does not clear that item's stale rows without re-recording any. fix(metadata): tolerate missing content item when recording stale IDs (#37)
StaleMediaIDRepository.Upsert inserts (content_id, provider, ...) into stale_media_ids, which has a foreign key to media_items.content_id. A metadata refresh can start for an item that is then deleted or merged away (e.g. by provider-ID canonicalization) before the provider 404 lands and triggers the upsert. The parent row is gone by then, so the insert fails with a 23503 foreign-key violation (stale_media_ids_content_id_fkey) and the refresh surfaces a spurious error — observed in production postgres logs. When the referenced item no longer exists there is nothing left to track, so treat that specific FK violation as a logged no-op (at Info, with provider_id, so a deletion wave stays visible). Other errors still propagate. The swallow decision is extracted to resolveStaleUpsertError so it is unit-testable without a database, and the pgconn error-classification boilerplate is consolidated into a shared isPgConstraintViolation helper that isProviderIDUniqueConflict now also uses. fix(metadata): size merge-step args to the placeholders each statement binds (#36)
canonicalizeMediaItemReferencesTx executed every merge step with both $1 (source) and $2 (canonical) regardless of how many placeholders the step's SQL actually used. The second step, "drop source provider ids" (DELETE ... WHERE content_id = $1), references only $1, so passing two args made pgx reject the Exec under the default QueryExecModeCacheStatement with "mismatched param and argument count" (extended_query_builder.go:35, which enforces len(ParamOIDs) == len(args)). That aborted the whole merge transaction, so any item that got past the "refusing to merge" guard never de-duplicated — observed in production logs as repeated "provider-id drift row repair failed ... drop source provider ids: mismatched param and argument count". Extract the step list to a package var and derive each step's args from the highest positional placeholder its SQL binds (maxPlaceholder), rather than a brittle strings.Contains(sql, "$2") substring check that would also match "$20"/"$25" and silently mis-size a future step. mergeStepArgs panics on an unsupported placeholder count (caught by TestMergeStepPlaceholdersAreBounded, which asserts every step binds $1 and at most $2) so a malformed step fails loud in tests rather than at runtime. The main-refresh path in MetadataService.processInternal passes
`provider404s` to handleProvider404 for season (line 1140) and episode
(line 1173) fetch errors. handleProvider404 records the item's provider
ID as stale whenever provider404s is non-nil. A 404 fetching seasons or
episodes is a child-resource failure (e.g. TMDB returns 404 for
`/tv/{id}/season/0` when a series has no specials season) — it must not
mark the item's TMDB ID itself as stale.
The equivalent target-refresh paths (fetchTargetSeasonResults at line
2305 and fetchTargetEpisodeResults at line 2339) already pass `nil` for
this exact reason. The main-refresh path was the missing half of that
fix.
In our deployment this bug caused 13,524 series items to have their
`media_items.tmdb_id` cleared and recorded as stale during a single
refresh sweep — every series whose TMDB entry doesn't have a 'specials'
season was affected. Once recorded, `suppressRecordedStaleProviderIDs`
locked the items out of future TMDB enrichment.
Tested by curl-ing 5 affected items against TMDB directly:
- /tv/{id} returns 200 for all 5
- /season/1 returns 200 for all 5
- /season/0 returns 404 for 4 of 5 (the ones that don't have specials)

feat(plugins): chunked plugin uploads with progress
Large plugin packages previously uploaded through a single multipart POST, which can exceed proxy/body-size limits and offered no progress feedback. Add a chunked upload path alongside the existing one. Server: - New generic internal/uploads session Manager assembles chunks into a pre-sized temp file via positioned writes, with TTL expiry, idempotent chunk retries, and size validation. - Four endpoints under /admin/plugins/uploads/chunked (create/put-chunk/complete/cancel); completion reuses the shared install path and sniffs the zip magic from disk instead of reading the whole archive into memory. Web: - Reusable uploadFileInChunks helper with adaptive chunk-size backoff on 413, plus a usePluginUpload hook and shared Progress component driving the upload progress bars on both admin plugin pages. - Files at or below the chunk threshold keep using the multipart path. - api() now respects a caller-supplied Content-Type so chunks can be sent as application/octet-stream.
